Placed order for our Hansgrohe bathroom basin mixers and shower systems from Iceprice.

Draft Quotations

Got back draft quotations from both Weiken and Home Matters. Weiken's design was to expectations. Pretty standard stuff, adds up to almost S$47k with GST. Home Matters was more creative with ideas and suggestions and adds up to almost S$35k. Of course the work covered by both companies are different hence the huge difference in pricing.
Nonetheless, Home Matters is still more affordable overall due to further discount + zero GST.

Chew & Weiken

Visited Chew Interior and Weiken to get quotations today.
Also went to Home & Bathroom. Attractive Hansgrohe packages available. However prices are still more expensive than iceprice.
Got some knowledge on Toto toilet bowls as well.

PKWA Law Practice LLC

Went to HDB Hub today to meet up with the lawyer, Mrs Cheah from PKWA LLC. Handed over cheque of S$39k for the remaining 4% balance and S$23,850 for Stamp fees. Will be pushing to fulfill the option to purchase down from 12 to 10 weeks. Meaning to take over the keys hopefully on 21st October 2011 instead of 4th November 2011.

Iceprice.com

Was recommended iceprice.com by a fellow user (pbr) from renotalk forums. It's a website in Germany where one can buy quality bathroom and kitchen accessories at cheaper prices.

Was fiddling around with the site and realised that we can get a better range of mixers and shower heads at cheaper prices! Final shortlisted products will probably be the list below. Decided to go with Hansgrohe.

Lisa Toh

Went to visit Lisa at her showroom at Beauty World Centre. She was our I.D. 5+ yrs ago for our current Punggol flat and we like her work very much. She was with Weiken then but had since ventured out on her own and set up Home Matters .


Was given a rough quotation of approximately S$30k for the amount of work we required.
